Hawaii Green Living Spaces (HGLS) goal is to create the next generation of  smart energy efficient residential projects and programs for Hawaii Island. As building and utility costs escalate, it is important to strive for a better formula.  This special Island deserves it and most of us on limited budgets, need it!   HGLS collaborates with a number of experts and strategic alliances to bring the required ingredients together for success.  The main ingredient of all the people involved is Passion.  The Hale Kuleana Program for example has brought together many resources including respected architects, builders and building material companies, who are interested in making a fair profit in return for creating smart new projects.  HGLS has attracted many other resources including energy efficiency professionals, landscape architects, master gardeners, active and passive alternative energy products/ systems and financing/tax professionals.  We bring all these ingredients together, in an effort to make a typically difficult process, simpler.

Moving forward, HGLS is looking at Kapuna (Senior) Living smart communities and believe this is the natural next step.  We need to create special spaces for all of us as we mature in our lives.  These Kapuna Living spaces and communities will contain many of the features featured in our Hale Kuleana program but will develop concepts tied more to community.

HGLS is also exploring creative cost effective POD style living. This style brings us back to real Hawaiian living, and offers purchasers a smart flexible living alternative. We look forward to sharing more about these exciting programs as they unfold.
